My stay at the Grand Hyatt Beijing was mostly enjoyable, thanks to its very nice staff and fantastic location near major attractions like the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. The very good service stood out, particularly how the staff helped me when I faced an unfortunate incident. However, the rooms, while clean and well-equipped, felt a bit simple compared to the lavish lobby and entrance, which was slightly disappointing. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

The room was clean and well-equipped, but I found it a bit too simple given the hotel’s grandeur. The pillows were rather flat, making it challenging to get a good night's sleep.

The staff, especially Jason and Carney, were incredibly friendly and attentive. They helped me navigate a tough situation when my wallet was stolen, going above and beyond to assist me.

The location was excellent, just a short walk to key sites like the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Being connected to a shopping center was a great bonus for quick meals and snacks.

The hotel restaurants were pricey but offered good food. It was nice that they prepared packed meals for guests on the go, although the options weren't very sophisticated.

The pool area was amazing and provided a great space to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The gym had all the basic equipment and was well-maintained.

I had a good stay at the Grand Hyatt Beijing, with a stunning hotel location and spacious, comfortable accommodations. However, the food and beverage service during breakfast left much to be desired, impacting my overall experience.

The suite I stayed in was spacious and clean, lacking any unpleasant odors. Modern decor added to the comfort, although the bed was a bit hard for my liking.

The concierge service was friendly and made an effort to assist, but they struggled to help with finding Forbidden City tickets, which I eventually had to secure through another service.
Location

The hotel's location is fantastic, just a 10-minute walk from Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden Palace, nestled above a shopping center and close to subway stations.

Breakfast was disappointing; there were many dirty tables and the food quality was average. I expected better service and selection for a hotel of this standard.

I had a generally positive experience at the Grand Hyatt Beijing, especially enjoying its convenient location and spacious, clean rooms. However, I encountered a few issues with service and amenities that prevented my stay from being perfect.
Rooms

My room was spacious and clean, and I found the bed to be very comfortable. I experienced a minor issue with the bathroom door not closing properly, which was noted, but overall, the facilities were great.
Service
6.0
While many staff members were friendly and helpful, I encountered some indifference at the lounge desk and during check-in. Additionally, I found that room service had a high delivery fee, which felt excessive.
Location

The hotel's location is absolutely perfect, just a short walk from key attractions like Tiananmen Square and right next to a large shopping center. The subway stations nearby made it easy to get around the city.
Dining
7.0
Dining options included a mixture of Chinese and Western cuisine, though the breakfast experience in the lounge was less impressive due to slow service and overcrowded conditions.
Facilities

The hotel offered a range of good facilities, including room service and a well-stocked pool, though it was disappointing to find there were no ATMs on site.

My stay at the Grand Hyatt Beijing was mostly enjoyable, thanks to an excellent location and spacious, well-maintained rooms. However, I encountered some frustrating issues with customer service that detracted from the overall experience. The hotel itself boasts fantastic facilities, but improvements in certain areas would really enhance the visit.
Rooms
9.0
The room was spacious and modern, with an impressive bathroom featuring a deep soaking bathtub and separate shower. I appreciated the thoughtful amenities like a coffee setup and light controls by the bedside. However, I did find the bed to be a bit firm for my liking.
Service
6.0
While some staff were friendly and quick to assist, I faced several moments of disappointment. For instance, my room entry passes didn't work multiple times, and the response to my repeated requests was lacking. On the positive side, the front desk staff were generally helpful and polite.
Location
10.0
This hotel has an unbeatable location, being just a 15-20 minute walk from the Forbidden City and surrounded by shopping and dining options. It's conveniently connected to the subway, making it easy to explore Beijing. The commercial center nearby adds to its appeal for tourists.
Dining
7.0
Dining options within the hotel were decent, but I found some of the offerings to be overpriced compared to the fresh and tasty dishes available at nearby food courts. Breakfast was included and enjoyable, though I expected more variety from a five-star hotel.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel's facilities are commendable, with a beautiful pool area and various amenities. However, it would be great if there were an ATM on-site, as I had to venture out to access local currency, which was frustrating.

I recently stayed at Grand Hyatt Beijing, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel's location is unbeatable, being so close to popular attractions like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. However, while the service was friendly and welcoming, I found some aspects, including dining and room maintenance, could use improvement.
Rooms
7.0
I stayed in a Two-Bedroom Premier Apartment which was clean and spacious. It was fully equipped with necessities, although I wished for stronger water pressure in the bathroom. The furnishings felt a bit dated compared to what I expected from a five-star hotel, so that left me wanting more.
Service
8.0
The service was generally very friendly. The Chief Service Ambassador, Mr. Alvin, and the Chief Concierge, Ms. Cecilia, were incredibly helpful during my stay. However, I did encounter some indifferent service at the breakfast areas which was disappointing.
Location
10.0
The location of the hotel is fantastic. Positioned at the heart of Beijing, it was just a short walk to Wangfujing pedestrian street and other attractions, making it perfect for sightseeing and shopping.
Dining
6.0
The dining options had potential, but I found them lacking. While they offered both Chinese and Western dishes, the quality didn’t meet the expectations I had. I noticed many guests preferred to eat at the nearby food court for better options at lower prices.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities like room service and amenities were decent. However, the laundry and dry cleaning services took longer than I expected. The mall attached to the hotel provided some convenience, but I would have preferred more varied food options within the hotel itself.
